The beach, located in front of the Makry Gialos village, has golden sand, very shallow waters and has been awarded a blue flag. It is organized with chairs and umbrellas and along it are the restaurants and cafes of Makry Gialos.

The beach is relatively windless and is not easily affected by the winds, so you will rarely see big waves, which is why the facilities for most water sports are located here. It is also important that the main beach in Makry Gialos is the shallowest in the prefecture of Lassithi and is therefore suitable for families with kids.
